You'll probably have seen the name Odd Job Jon on our homepage, but who is he? Well, I was hoping someone could tell me! I jest of course, Odd Job Jon is my partner, Jon. Where I work on the smaller, arty stuff, Jon likes to build big things. He has a keen interest in building sheds, solid outdoor furniture, outdoor storage and the like, he's also quite the handyman around the house! The above shed was a nice challenge, he needed to build something of a decent size for storage, with built in planters and a ramp to push the lawnmower up. The shed is constructed out of sheets of 18mm plywood and construction lumber, with an attached decking, to incorporate the ramp. It was then treated with wood oil and painted with wood stain, it also has sturdy build in shelving at the back, along with tool hangers along the wall and a charging station for cordless garden tools. These chunky pieces of furniture are made from construction lumber, the storage bench on the left is Jon's own design and the bench on the right was built from a YouTube video, which has prompted further design ideas for more benches. The construction lumber is solid and due to being pressure treated, is ready to hold up to the elements, treatment is still added though, just as an extra layer of protection and to seal any cut ends.
As I said previously, Jon is also quite the handyman, he can turn his hand to a number of different jobs; building storage solutions, painting fences etc, and he's a hard worker to boot.
